Roland Knaut

Mr. Knaut brings 29 years of legal experience to his work as a personal injury litigator at Pourreza Law.  His diverse legal experience includes insurance coverage law and litigation, giving him insight into insurance policy contracts and disputes that may impact a client’s personal injury claim. 

Mr. Knaut also served 13 years as a prosecutor in Fulton County, where he brought 138 cases to trial, including 72 jury trials. In addition, he represented the State of Georgia at over 100 motion hearings. Much of his courtroom work involved automobile-related cases, such as DUI and Vehicular Homicide. Mr. Knaut also instructed new prosecutors in trial skills and techniques for the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia. 

Prior to his legal career, Mr. Knaut accumulated 9 years of experience as an insurance adjuster for large insurance companies handling many kinds of personal injury claims, including automobile accidents, slip & falls, product liability, construction site accidents, and nursing home negligence. His experience has provided a great understanding of how insurance companies investigate and evaluate personal injury claims. Mr. Knaut obtained his undergraduate degree in Economics from Northwestern University, and his law degree, with honors (cum laude), from Loyola University in Chicago.
